Located in New Orleans, Louisiana, the New Orleans Job Corps Center offers tuition free training to eligible students in variety of areas including carpentry, certified medical assistant, certified nursing assistant, culinary arts, electrical, and office administration.

With over 18 years of combined experience in Job Corps operations and management, John Odom is a dedicated leader known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and passion for empowering young adults. John’s career reflects a consistent commitment to supporting students and building environments that foster personal and professional growth. His recent role was as a former Programs Director, where he oversaw the daily operations of multiple departments, including Recreation, Residential, Career Training, Academic, Career Preparation, and Counseling. John has also held the titles of Career Training Manager, Career Services Director, and Security & Protective Services Instructor. He has demonstrated expertise in training and mentoring, creating quality programs, and preparing students to excel in their careers and communities.

John is a University of Phoenix graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. His professional certifications include Security and Protective Services Instruction from the International Foundation of Protection Officers.
John is driven by a passion for service and leadership, equipping future generations with the tools and confidence to succeed.
